The numbers have swelled in our Under 9 ranks - stars of the future!
Under 9's Update
This playing group is off to a flying start this season with all but 1 of the 22 players returning and what is very exciting is 10 new recruits giving a total of 32 registered at this early part of the footy calendar. Bearing in mind that at this age group, a team is either 9 or 12 we may field 3 teams especially if we pick up a couple more new recruits. At our 1st 2 training sessions we have had over 20 each night and would like to take this opportunity to thank the following boys dads for helping out which were Steve (Lachlan's dad), Warren (Bryson's dad) John (Blaisé & Jessica's dad) & Andrew (Joshua's dad). At training we do a warm up then go into skills sessions that have been revolving around kicking, handballing, marking & general ball handling, then we have a team based game such as Tennis football or a game and last but not least a rendition of the Club Song. We appreciate any parent help at training and ideally it would be great to have 4 parents each week to help out each week as we can maximise time with Jessica & the boys.
