2011 R17 Match Report - U10 Teal
Drummoyne Teal vs Newtown Red
It was with some sadness the team headed to Picken oval for the last round of what has been a great season for both the boys and their parents.
It was fitting that the boys soon showed us why we have all enjoyed watching them play so much this year, some of the footy was the best we have seen from the team this season.
A big thank you to Benjamin, Zac, Luke and Harrison who each played for the other team for a quarter.
It is too difficult to single out any players or passages of play. The team work was amazing and every boy contributed, playing hard, been first to the ball, kicking or handballing to team mates, making space and encouraging each other through out.
We should mention the new boys to Drummoyne this year, they have all been great additions, and many of them new to the game of AFL, Jake, Harrison, Jackson, Louis and Bodey showed they not only have great skills and determination but also enjoy the team spirit.
There were goals galore and some fabulous marks taken by many.
