Round 10 Match Report - U14
Drummoyne 4.10 34 l Pittwater 8.3 51
The U14s travelled to North Narrabeen this week to take on the Pittwater Tigers. The team started well with hard running from Joel leading to goals from Ka Yin and Nick G in the first quarter while the back line was doing a great job rebounding off the half back line. Nick K and Matt were controlling their opponents and both managed to do this all game . Nick B also was in the play and Tom had a terrific 2nd quarter. Jake snapped truly and Jordon T bounced a goal through and the team held an 11 point lead at the main break.
The goals dried up in the second half and although much of the play was in Drummoyne's forward line, they could not convert. Pittwater began to run and once they sensed they were a chance they were harder at the ball and prepared to run and support each other. The boys tried hard but skill errors let them down and in the end they did not have the run in their legs to keep up with their opponents.
The team has a 2 week break now and hopefully they will work on their fitness over the break to come back and play the rest of the season as they know they can and how they were a few weeks ago.
