Round 10 Match Report - U8s
Under 8’s - Teal vs Easts
This match was a tough one against a very skilled team from Easts. However, our Drummoyne players were great and fought back for the whole match.
Jack, Rory and Hugh did great kicks, spoils and smothering. Toby and Alistair were great in defence and blocked a number of goals. Oscar showed great tactics and made a good mark. Meera was tough in defence and a great team player. Darcy made many good struggles for the ball and an attempt at goal.
Joel took the Mark of the Day.
Whilst the Easts team had a few amazing individuals, we were impressed by the way that our Drummoyne team all played well as a team throughout the entire match. The Teal team are beginning to synergise well together. The groups of three in each position worked well – 1. Jack, Joel & Hugh; 2. Meera, Toby & Darcy and 3. Rory, Oscar.L & Alistair.

Under 8’s - Teal vs Easts
By all accounts this was also a great match against a skilful Easts team.
Our match reporter gave a detailed, motivating talk to all the players after the match. He gave them excellent feedback about their teamwork, particularly within their groups of three. As I recall the groups which worked well were 1. Nicky, Joe.E & Riley 2. Christian, Daniel & James and 3. Edward, Angus & Oscar.H.
Alas, our match reporter got “burn-out” from his great speech and was unable to maintain the momentum in the written word!
