Under 9s Teal vs Easts
Our captain for the day, Liam, lead the team well at Five Dock against Easts. Some great team work by Ben and a great consistent effort by Luke across each third.
The boys played over the opposition all game particularly in the first two quarters. The second quarter saw the best play from the whole team in the game.
The boys competed strongly for the contested ball in each quarter and each section. Defence in the first two quarters was solid with Ely, Ben, Louis, Luke, Josh and James having some important touches. A special mention to Ben for some outstanding defensive work in the first quarter, always first to the ball.
Goals scored mainly in the second quarter. Across the centre Josh, Armando, Henry and Steven constantly turned the opposition around with strong marks, handballs and kicks to teammates. In the forward line gaols scored by the above but special mention for good team support to Henry, James and Zach. Liam tried hard all game as per usual
Well done boys a great team effort.
Mark of the Day: A number of marks were taken in the match Josh was a stand out with 3 marks, Armando and Zach took 2 and 1 each to Henry, Ben and James L. Josh took the mark of the day.
