Round 14 Match Report - U5/6s
Under 5/6s Auskick vs Easts
9 players were available on Saturday to play Easts at Five Dock Oval.
It is very encouraging that although we have lost a number of training sessions and games through wet weather the U5/6s are showing greatly improved skills and teamwork each week. All team members are looking to pass on the ball to a team mate and frequently we are seeing a good flow of passes from the back line, through the centre to eager players looking to kick a goal. Early in the first quarter (third?) some great work from Jesse, Bianca and Cooper saw Findlay kick a great goal.
In the second term the Power was under continual pressure from a strong Easts team. Joshua and Ben were as usual very busy and Ben was rewarded with a goal. Scoring opportunities were hard to come by through the rest of the game but all players showed good energy in competing for the goal and Coach Clint’s continued calls for players to “keep their feet” seems to be getting some traction. Both Louis and Claudia kicked goals toward the end of the game. Pleasing to see that all players heartily cheered their opposition and referee/coach. Excellent morning of Auskick for the U5/6s.
