Under 9’s - Teal vs Maroubra at Heffron
A big thank you to Brendon D for playing with Teal this week. We loved having him in our team. Also thanks to Henry, Brendon and Liam for playing for the opposition. Well done boys and they did so happily. True Drummoyne spirit!
Josh was our captain and played a great captains game showing great determination and skill clearing the ball out of the centre, standing strong in defence and presenting well in the forward line.
Ely used his height well in the ruck to tap to Drummoyne’s advantage.
James L was every where early and displayed some good tap work and was rewarded with a good goal in the second from the pocket on his left foot, kicking long on the coaches instruction.
James C was his ever reliable self never giving up, relentless in defence and showing some great tackling skills constantly putting the opposition under pressure when they had the ball.
Armando stood tall in the forward line taking a great mark from the kick in and staying close to his man when in defense.
Zac and Luke took some great marks and continue to be dominant all over the ground taking marks, kicking long and kicking goals.
Steve stayed so focused all game and continues to show his passion for the game and determination to be first to the ball, sharing the ball with his team mates with some good quick handballs.
Benjamin showed his pace when sprinting for the loose ball and was strong as ever in defence, more than once stopping the opposition flow into their forward line.
Liam improves each week as his confidence builds, particularly when in the forward line and again this week was unlucky not to score. He continually presents himself to his fellow team mates making him a good free target in the forward line.
Henry too was unlucky not to score a goal. The wind was strong and gusty making it difficult to kick accurately for all the boys. Henry worked well in the forward line chasing down any loose balls.
