Round 7 (make up round) Match Report - U12 Teal
U12s Teal Vs Easts Blue
After a couple of disappointing results, Drummoyne Power U12’s Teal were looking forward to a good result to put their season back on track. Missing a few key players, our boys were aware that they had to dig deep and do their best in order to win the game.
The windy conditions didn’t help as Easts jumped off to a good start. During the first two quarters, our backs were working overtime with Nicholas, Jonathan and Angus C doing their best to unsettle Easts attack. In the centre, Ben was all over the field tackling and running himself to a standstill while Liam looked dangerous every time he touched the ball. Tommy was rewarded with a couple of goals following some good solid play.
During the second half Harrison, Rory and Harold made valuable contributions demonstrating determination when contesting the ball. Jack took some fantastic marks and also scored a great goal. Dylan had another strong game working tirelessly to win possession while Nektar probably played his best game of the season taking some great marks and defending well. Seb was as solid as a rock as usual and Sandy worked hard all day and was one of Power’s best.
With the game beyond reach, our boys did not give up and demonstrated true Drummoyne Power fighting spirit during the final quarter. Every player continued to fight hard and seemed to lift. Although the result was not in our favour, all the boys should be very proud of their efforts.
