Drummoyne vs Newtown Swans
Drummoyne players and parents gathered at the Sydney Uni Family Day in perfect conditions for an extra game scheduled to compensate for the many recent washouts. The academic atmosphere induced good, thinking footy.
The game began with a great goal from Cameron with Atticus clearing the ball from the centre with great tap outs and kicks. Thomas weaved his way forward through the opposition to move the ball up the ground while Cameron and Angus took some great marks.
Play of the day was a great direct pass by Alex to Gabrielle, who passed to Oscar, then Angus who sealed it with a goal. Will from Wests joined us and was a great contributor, particularly with his running game. Gilbert was solid in defence, with some booming kicks up the ground. Gabrielle showed her usual style with great team work.
