Round 9 Match Report - U12 Teal

Drummoyne Teal 3.3 21 - Drummoyne Black 16.7 103

Having not played for 3 weeks, the U12 teal team were fired up for their game against their clubmates - Drummoyne Black. The game began evenly with Angus getting the ball out the from centre after some great ruck work by Ben V, who was returning for his first game of the season and played very well. Angus C was enjoying playing further up the field this week and although the game was being played in the team's back line, this provided opportunities for both Harry and Jonny to get involved in the play.

Sandy started to dominate play in the 2nd quarter, setting things up from defence. He was repelling the ball time and time again and this helped bring Louis into the match who played well across centre and into the forward line. Tommy was his usual busy self and topped off a good half with a well deserved goal.

Play opened up in the 2nd half and Teal had as much of the ball as their opponents. Dylan began to become a target and he set up a great goal for Ben S early in the 3rd quarter and then kicked one himself. Jack also had some important touches during the quarter and Rory was proving a handful for his opponents.

With the team down to 14 men, the boys began to tire but never gave up. Liam tried all game and first gamer Finn became more involved as the game progressed. The backline were kept very busy and Nektar and Harrison both had important touches at critcial stages of the game.

Overall , a tough game for the team but they never gave up and kept running all game.

Goal kickers Ben S, Dylan, Tommy
