Round 9 Match Report - U16 Div 1
Drummoyne Div 1 vs Easts / Drummoyne Div 2 vs Pennant Hills
It was a tough day at the office for both Under 16s teams on Sunday with the Division 2s going down to Pennant Hills under the mercy rule and the Division 1s losing to Easts.
However, mention has to be made of the great team and club spirit shown by all the players who backed up for two games, with Mitch Ferguson and Cameron Durrant from the Under 14s playing up in the Division 2 team.
We had about 6 Under 16s playing two games as well due to various other players being unavailable due to injury, family or school commitments.
Thanks also to Zoe Vicic who, after umpiring both the Under 13s and 14s, backed-up to run the boundary for the division 2s. Thank you to Liam Brundle who continues to show his support in running the boundary for division 1, and finally, to Mark Lee who was the goal umpire for both games.
Thanks to all the helpers and support shown for the under 16s and it was good to see so many staying around to watch both games on what was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful days for football.
